2007 2nd-Chance Football Pool -- Official Rules

PRE-REQUIREMENTS: Each contestant must:

• have been a Ducey Pool contestant posted on the board during the 2007 regular season
• be eliminated from the Ducey Pool before the playoffs begin.

ENTRY FEE: Each contestant must mail a check for $50 with the "Pay to:" line left blank to enter.

• Checks must be postmarked no later than January 4, 2008.
• Checks must be received no later than January 11, 2008.
• Mail entry fee(s) to PO Box 1411, Studio City, CA, 91614-0411

RULES (basically a short Ducey Pool with only one strike & a tie-breaker)

• Each contestant must select one team per weekend that will win its football game.
• Eligible games are those being played on Saturday and Sunday.
• A team may not be picked more than once during the post-season.
• Each week's pick is due by 3pm Pacific Time on Friday.
• If a picked team loses, that contestant is eliminated.
• The last person left in the pool wins the pot.

If more than one person picks the Superbowl winner, there is a tie-breaker:

• Total points scored in the 3 final games (AFC & NFC Championships and Superbowl)

Tie-breaker totals must be submitted by the deadline of the AFC/NFC Championship weekend.

All of the contestants with the winning Superbowl team and closest to the correct total split the pot.
(Over ties under. For example: If the total is 40, picks of 41 and 39 would both be winners.)

NFL decisions on wins and losses will be official.
If, for some reason, a picked game is not completed, all picks from that weekend will be thrown out.
If a picked game is not completed and then made up at a later date from the beginning, each contestant will be allowed to change his pick for the make-up game. The deadline will be Friday 3pm PST if the league is making up an entire weekend of games (as in 2001), or 24 hours prior to kickoff if they are making up only a game or two.
For weeks one and two, picks will be posted on the website as soon as they are made. For Championship weekend, pick and point-total will remain hidden until after the deadline.
