Pick Totals for Week 12

"Could this be the week of huge losses I predicted a couple weeks ago?" [Tennessee] --Kaufman (RIP)

There were losses, yes. And there were a few upsets, too. But they did most of their damage to the "middle class" of the Ducey Pool, those players with one or two losses trying to zig while the bandwagon zags. And yet again, this was NOT the week to abandon the bandwagon. Six of the seven picks that were made by leaders were winners. Beneath that, five of the seven picks that no leaders were a part of were losers. It just goes to show you how smart our leaders are.

Even with such easy pickings, we have passed a milestone this week. A special congratulations to all those still in the pool. You are now officially above-average. There are now more 2012 contestants out than in. So give yourselves a pat on the back. And then brace yourselves to lose just like everybody else, because that is still your most-likely outcome.

00 LOSS: 39 Bandwagons
01 LOSS: 122 Solid Winners
02 LOSS: 203 Overtime Squeakers
03 LOSS: 403 Dallas, usually
