Pick Totals for Week 12

"Bandwagon don't fail me now!" [Cleveland] --Hutchinson

Not a chance. Despite Jake Delhomme at quarterback and a makeable field goal to lose, the Browns cashed in their magical bandwagon ticket and escaped with the victory. Lots of safe picks again. Lots of winners advancing.

"Can you win this thing with two losses? How often has that happened?" --Stroup

You couldn't last year. Last year the winner had ZERO losses. But that was the only time someone made it through all 21 weeks without a loss. Of the previous 10 seasons, 5 times the winner had ONE loss, and 5 times the winner had TWO losses. So, it has happened many times. On the other hand, the last time there was a TWO-loss winner was 2006, so it has grown less likely as the pool has grown in size.

Bottom line: If you can make it to the playoffs, I believe anything is possible, especially in a season where the Bears beat the Eagles, who beat the Giants, who beat the Jaguars, who beat the Colts, who beat the Chiefs, who beat the Chargers, who beat the Texans, who beat the Redskins, who beat, of course, the Bears.
