Pick Totals for Week 8

"Never pick against the same team to lose consecutive Sundays." [Dallas] --Foster

It's good to have a system. Not every system is awesome. I am sure Foster and many others wish they had gone with the system: Don't pick a 1-5 team as your Ducey Pool pick.

"Picking a barely-favored road team against a team that scored 59 points last week = awesome." [Seattle] --Nathan

Add that system to the "Not Awesome" list.

"I've always wanted to pick Detroit in the Ducey Pool." [Detroit] --Artingstall~K

Sometimes dreams do come true.

"Go with the flow against Buffalo." [Kansas City] --Mednick~N

It's not quite a haiku, but then again Kansas City was not quite the lock the bandwagon likes. It took the Chiefs FIVE full quarters to pull off the win and keep the bandwagon alive. And speaking of, who will emerge as the bandwagon leader this week? The clear favorite is getting harder and harder to come by. As Gheen pointed out...

"21 different teams picked this week out of a possible 26. A Ducey Pool record!"

The bandwagon may be breaking up out of necessity. 20 out of the NFL's 32 teams have either four or five wins. Has parity finally taken hold this season?

"Will either live by my 'Skins or die by my 'Skins." [Washington] --Bozin (RIP)

Hate to see someone go out at the hands of their favorite team. Hate to see anyone go out. And yet, go out people must. Over 200 have gone on to meet their maker already this season. Last year, at this point, it was only 80. It's a brave new world in this year's Ducey Pool.

CURRENT STANDINGS

For those out of the pool or anticipating heading out in the near future, the 2nd Chance Ducey Pool starts in the playoffs. I know, it's a long time to wait for redemption, but come back at the end of the season and try your hand at winning the consolation prize. Click on the "2nd" above for details.
