Pick Totals for Week 2

"Suck the rest of the year, Cowboys, just not in your home opener!" [Dallas] --Kahl

Your wish may still come half true.

While Green Bay carried all those people who played it safe, the Cowboys, Panthers, and Vikings took a trip to the land of 0-2. And took down a wide swath of Ducey Poolers with them.

Meanwhile, the dust appears to have settled on the number of entrants in this year's pool: 672. That's a lot of cabbage available for the picking. And this is how we stand going into Week Three...

CURRENT STANDINGS
00 Loss -- 470 Leaders

02 Loss -- 16 Strugglers

"Does the first person out get their money back?" --Sullivan~N

Sadly for them, no. There is no reward in this pool for sucking. Get in a pool with your grandmother if you want a booby prize package. Next week, we could see our first players eliminated.

IMPORTANT! The deadline for picks is Saturday at 10am from here on out. Missing the deadline is an annual ritual. At least one person does it nearly every single week of the year. Don't let it be you in 2010. It is not fun to take a loss for it, and it's not fun for me to have to give you the bad news, which is that your excuse is not a valid one.

Age old advice: Make your picks for the whole season now. Change them later if you want to. Better a lame pick than a no pick. You will be relieved to have a pick there when your "internet issues"/"wedding planning"/"baby came early"/"got food poisoning" happens to you.
