"Past performance does not guarantee future outcome." --Navarro (Dal)

Certainly true of the 2005 National Football League. Oddly enough, Navarro was a victim of his own wisdom. Despite Joe Gibbs' history of getting beaten up by Bill Parcells' teams, despite Washington losing their last nine trips to Dallas, and despite Bill Parcells being 77-0 in games where his team is ahead by 13 or more in the fourth quarter, Dallas took out the most leaders this week.

"If I lose this week, can I pick USC just once?" --Ray (GB)

Nearly as deadly, Green Bay's collapse took out many more. Please refrain from picking college teams in future weeks, however, as they will not be admissible.

"I've never been in first place this late in the pool!" --Taylor (Dal)

I hope you had a good week. Taylor joins 99 other leaders as they drop to the second tier. And, of course, we have a new third tier this week. Nearly 20% of the pool is staring at Week Three with two losses under its collective belt. My warning to them: Do not drop into the fourth tier next Sunday.

Current standings...
0 Losses: 118 in 1st Place
1 Loss: 318 in 2nd Place
2 Losses: 102 in 3rd Place
3 Losses: Who will be the first ones out?

Lots of people missed the deadline last week. Remember this: You can make and change picks right up to the deadline. Staying a week or two ahead with a "temporary" pick is the safest way to go. If a bad memory or a computer problem keeps you from changing your pick, at least you still have a shot.
