NY Jets --"Hoping the smoke and mirror campaign continues." --Young~F

Never has a 5-0 team been so mistrusted, so maligned, and so close to losing to the 49ers. And yet, when the gold dust settled, the Jets emerged victorious, leading a shaky bandwagon to a big Ducey Pool weekend.

Buffalo --"Good Lord... what have I just done." --Olson~R

Never has an 0-4 team been so trusted, so relied upon, and so easily one of the great picks of the season. In a league where every team is just about as good as any other, wins are going to be harder and harder to come by. Mazel tov to those who went out on a limb and spent a blissful Sunday morning there.

Tennessee was the biggest surprise this week. Or was it? Picking a team who had only beaten Miami and a disappointing Packer squad turned out to be a bad gamble, accounting for 36 of the 52 losses this week, 20 of which were fatal.

Current standings:
00 Loss -- 70 Michael Phelps' Gold
01 Loss -- 189 Bernard Williams' Silver
02 Loss -- 148 Men's Basketball's Bronze
03 Loss -- 58 John Kerry's Purple Heart
