Week Four

"When does the NHL Survivor Pool start?" --Goldstein (StL)

Now what kind of attitude is that? Look at what a fine job (nearly) everybody did in Week Four. I am very impressed. People (mostly) avoided Houston, they (largely) stepped clear of Cincinnati, and (almost) no one put their faith in Vinnie Testaverde. If only the NY Jets would do the same.

"Praying on a weekly basis" --Olson~R (Den)

Many prayers were answered this week. The damage to the Ducey Pool was very mild. The top five picks were all winners. Last year's faithful doormats, the Texans and Bengals, were responsible for most of the 32 losses, 14 of which were fatal. Again, the recent dead are listed at the bottom of the main page. For a list of all deceased pool members, click on the tombstone. That will take you to the graveyard.

Current standings...
0 losses -- 47 gods
1 loss -- 146 angels
2 losses -- 159 mortals
3 losses -- 39 zombies

Yet another week has gone by with about 10 people not getting their picks in on time. Do not let it happen to you. There is nothing worse than taking a loss for missing the deadline. It is 12 noon on Saturday, every week. Write it down somewhere. Pick a week or two in advance just in case. Buddy up with someone to watch out for each other. Whatever it takes: Stop missing the deadline!!
