TREND NO. 2 | Out With Sitcoms
In the post-Seinfeld era, networks have become sitcom shy. This year, there are more new dramas than comedies on the fall schedule, and some of the comedies seem to have nothing to do with laughs.
And most egregiously, ABC has slotted a stinker after The Drew Carey Show. Oh Grow Up focuses, tediously, on three grown men (a lothario, a gay man and a would-be artist) who move in together.
