[Z&R logo] Day 4 -- Monday June 23

Two funerals today. Stunts and a few more shots from Sparky's visitation (continued from yesterday) and then over to the church next door for Zack's funeral service. We shook hands with Debbie Reynolds' Beulah, and my character, Rusty, snapped and started apologizing for "killing" Zack. Don and Shank then moved in and hustled Rusty into the church. (Scene 97)

We were pretty much spectators once inside. Our only moment of glory was "shotgunning" a beer in a six-shot that included the three bullies, Reba, Ivy, and Todd. Now warm, non-alcoholic Old Milwaukee goes down so smoothly most of the time, but in this scene, much of it ended up on the floor or on our outfits & faces. It was honestly a funny sight to behold.

Michael Jeter showed his prowess by ending every take with a different ad-libbed biblical tale. From Lazarus to Bethsheba to Noah ("who was the first person to ferment grain into alcohol. Let's drink to Noah!") he certainly added a punch to the scene every time.
