Day 1 -- Monday March 30

The first day was basically just a table-read of the script. We met in the Stage 25 Conference Room, the very stage and room that housed me during the Frasier adventure. When I arrived at just about 12:30pm on the nose, the room was already swarming with people, the table full of actors and producers anxious to start a whole new journey. At the head of table sat the three big guns from the Producers' side, David Lee, Peter Casey, and David Angell. At the other head of the table sat the three big guns from the Actors' side, Ernie Sabella, Joan Plowright, and Nathan Lane. We had considerable clout in the room. Meanwhile, scrunched somewhere in the middle of the table, sat me, waiting patiently until my three lines were required of me.

The reading went well. The main cast is all very funny and the guest stars did a good job. I didn't really do much of anything good or bad. All three of my lines are basically set-ups so not much ground-breaking work is going to be done over the next six days, but maybe it will do me some good to witness a pilot being put together. I have to hope this process will occur again in my future with considerably more input from me.

A trip down to the set on Stage 32 (which looks beautiful) and a stop into wardrobe to try on my Limo Driver's outfit and I was wrapped for the day. In by 12:30, out by 1:30. I could get used to that.

Go on to Day 2
