Day 2 -- Monday, March 31

9am call time. We all sat down and were congratulated by David Lee, our director, on a fine table-read yesterday. The network executives were pleased. We then set about doing it again, reading through the script and taking note of its many changes. My lines had gone through a major upheaval. Instead of saying, "I'm sorry, sir" as my second line, it would now be, "She's not dead, sir." So, yes, total number of words is climbing!!

We began rehearsing with the limo scene so I was first up. About four minutes later, we were done rehearsing the limo scene. I went ahead and tried out my new line. Felt good.

I am also in the next scene, bringing in luggage and such. So no rest for me! We very slowly blocked the next five minutes worth of show, trying to co-ordinate props and hellos and faints and more props and entrances and exits and stair-climbing. My little bit to end the scene went smoothly and eventually we moved on. Of course, as long as that seemed to take, it would still be another four hours before they needed me to do anything again. In that time, I squeezed in a crossword puzzle, some lunch, and, oh yes, driving about two miles to an audition for a different pilot.

The run-through for producers went smoothly. I had the tailor fit me for my driver's uniform and that was that.

Go on to Day 3
