The sides for the callback were even more scant than the audition. Before, William yelled his accusations out into the crowd and got some feedback from the party guests. In the revised sides, William just shouts and shouts. No responses. No interplay. Just William.
There were three "judges," including Penny, for whom I executed my little tirade. I did just about the same things for this one as for the audition. When I wrapped it up, everyone in the room laughed to try to ease the tension for how silly it all seemed with no one actually responding to my yelling. And so I added, "The William Monologue. From Legacy." And they all laughed and laughed. Hey, I can ease tension with the best of 'em, baby. Now how about a job?
