Audtion report--

They laughed and laughed. Recently that's been the kiss of death on my auditions. But I went in there with Allen's dedication to the company and put a little bit of a snide twist on it, and they ate it up. They laughed plenty and at one point, one of the viewers remarked heartily, "That's the first time we've seen the line read like that." And I hope that's good. Could be such an unusual reading, of course, because it's so wrong.

After doing the two little scenes, I was directed to play up the company, really sell it whole-heartedly, like a talking brochure. The catch? "Do the first scene again that way and improvise." So I did, and it all came out pretty well until it devolved into a half-hearted finish. So I left them having not hit the note they asked me too. Tough finish.
