Audition report--

Conflict of interests? I don't know. My contract for The Hanleys is technically with Brillstein-Grey, the production company. And no one from ABC has made any concrete offers to me directly. And it's not like I would be in a CBS show, it would just be a little spot in between shows, nothing more than a little commercial. And so maybe, one might think, I should ask my agent what the boundaries are here. Yes, one might think that. But the bottom line here is that Elle MacPherson is supposed to be in the spot as well, and so sometimes you have to subscribe to the old "What they don't know, won't hurt 'em" philosophy.

The audition sides were actually kind of cute and fun to do, much different than your average commercial audition where you just stand there and talk about your first-grade show-and-tell project, trying desperately to make it interesting and enjoyable. The deal is that my buddy has great basketball tickets and he wants me to come but I want to stay home and watch CBS. Oh yes, and Elle MacPherson? She's in the limo anxious to go to the game as well. RRrrrrrr...

And that was it. It went fine. There was a bit of ad-libbing that went pretty well and the whole deal was wrapped up without injury or insult. As long as ABC doesn't dump me like a pile of Ellen episodes. But, c'mon, Elle MacPherson!!!

Go on to... The Callback.
