Episode 151 Shoot

November 4-8, 2002

It's an odd week. Things on the set couldn't be better. This is basically "Leonard Week" as the episode revolves around Leonard taking the three girls to his time-share condo in Miami. Lots of scenes, lots of jokes, lots to do. And besides the fun episode, word came down this week that the show has been picked up for 6 more episodes, taking the total up to 19 for the season.

So why isn't it one big party? Unfortunately, the extra 6 episodes will have no scenes, no laughs, and nothing to do for Leonard Feckler. No, it's not that they over-used me this week and they're making up for it. A decision was made somewhere along the line that the music magazine, Scorch, was not working. Not only am I being let go, but no one at the magazine will be reporting to work after the original 13 are done. Word in the street is that the network told the production company to "burn the sets." So there will be no last-minute reprieve for the Scorch crew. I guess that's good for the bottom line at Sabrina. Four less series regulars to pay. Maybe if I hadn't ordered all those breakfast burritos they'd still have the budget for us.

But back to the work-week. Not only am I working with the three leads (and a little with Salem, lucky me), but we also have special guest-star Kate Jackson on the set playing Soleil's mother. Yes, Charlie's Angels Kate Jackson. Yes, her character's name was Sabrina. And yes, she is the only person I ever sent a fan letter to. (I was probably 8 at the time.) So it has been fun to be involved enough in the show that I got to have scenes with her and hang out with her during the week. Enjoy it while it lasts, I guess.
