The assignment was to write a movie with horses in it. And star-crossed lovers. So what was inspiration? Footloose meets the rodeo. The movie captures the intersection of faith, family, and dancing, no wait, not dancing, I mean, the cowboy spirit. Scenes shot at an actual rodeo created its authentic feel, while the charm of the northern California locations give the movie its small-town charm.
