2002 Football Pool Weekly Update

Week Four

You're over the edge, I'm afraid. It's not so easy to go 4-0 in this modern-day National Football League. Dolphins, Patriots, Broncos, Saints, and Panthers all slipped up in Week 4. The only team to reach 4-0 did it because SOMEBODY had to. All hail the San Diego Superchargers.

"I have no confidence in ST. LOUIS winning any other games this year, so ST. LOUIS it is." --Kahl

St. Louis may not any other games this year, that is true. But that doesn't mean you have to pick them. St. Louis and Dallas continue to wreck havoc on the Ducey Pool. At least this week they were playing in the same game.

Thanks to the lowly Texans, the damage this week was not too bad. 48 losing picks and 2 picks that came in after 10am on Saturday. I know things come up during the week and I'm sorry about that, but my mom broke her leg this week and had surgery to put a plate and four screws below her knee and she still got her pick in. The deadline is the same every week. Plan accordingly.

Also, email is not infallible. And as we have found out, Adelphia is very fallible. It's a dangerous combo, so please be sure your pick is in and correct on Saturday. I try to get the picks up within 24 hours or so of receiving them. If you don't get your email back from me and Saturday morning is approaching, go to Def-Con 3. I appreciate the assistance.

01 LOSS -- 96 slightly defeated
02 LOSS -- 50 considerably defeated
03 LOSS -- 7 overly defeated

Jenks brings up a good point. Do not repeat any previous picks, no matter how attractive the game appears. It will result in an automatic loss.
