Day 3 -- Wednesday, October 10
Tape Night. Sure, much of the show is already shot, but it's still a great feeling when they load the audience in. It's what makes sitcoms so immediately rewarding. Plus, it's fun to be there when an audience watches the pre-taped bits. And there were many of them.
Rehearsal was easy and fun. The show went great. There's not much to
say, really. It was a comfortable, friendly environment. The show has
been on long enough to just propel itself with a nice easy momentum.
The pre-taped bits were a hit. The big final barbecue was fun to do.
It had actually been a while since I had done a real scene in front
of an audience. Scrubs was single
camera, The Web was pre-shot except for one
line, and my last job before that was a year-and-a-half ago. So,
welcome back.
