Rehearsal report--

October 28

My first big film moment is approaching. Kelley, the woman, and Stephen, the director, and I met today for a "rehearsal", the first of two to prepare for this PSA-commercial-thing.

We didn't do too much in the way of "rehearsing," it was more of a meeting. We went and looked at the pool in the yard in which there is a slo-mo fantasy scene. Stephen talked about his vision for the piece, and we drove up to the hilltop where the sunrise scene will be shot.

That was pretty much it for "rehearsal." Mr. Nash bought us a hot chocolate on the way home and we called it a day.

So, that was Monday's meeting.

Then on Tuesday, we met with Stephen and Dino to discuss costumes. Dino put together a 50's retro-hippie-type outfit for me, and matched Kelley's polka-dot dress with a pastel jacket. Odd. We also sat and watched as Stephen and Dino bickered over interpretation and camera shots and on and on.

So, finally, we reach today, Wednesday the 30th, our second of two rehearsals. Kelley and I rehearsed the fireplace stuff and the door stuff. We went through it many times, and I never really felt that it was great. It was a little weird doing the kissing stuff but really no big deal. It was no different than any other rehearsing. It was all very tame; much more so than I had thought. It was just smooching, nothing else. And clothed, no less.

Then, we went to the house in Bel-Air where the party takes place, and rehearsed the GWTW bit a few times. Luckily, Kelley had to go to class and needed a ride home, so we both got to book out of there. There was really no need to go on location to rehearse. Any door, in fact, any 5 square feet of space would have sufficed. I guess it was good to see the location, though.

So, that should be in it until Saturday. I hope I can make it all work between now and then. We'll see.
