I received a message late last night that Marjorie needed someone to come to her place today and read the LEAD in her screenplay reading for her producers and agents and managers. Now a normal person might jump at the opportunity. My first instinct was to jump away. Stupid fears, but luckily I overcame them and agreed to read the part.
There was a gathering of about 16 people at Marjorie's place. Six were reading parts, the rest were listening and taking notes. The script was a cute romantic comedy and had some great moments in it. I'm glad I got to be a part of the reading and I had a nice time. The role isn't right for me because the guy is only 21, so it is unlikely I will get the chance to play it, but I think the people there were happy with what I did. Maybe when it hits the big screen they'll still let me play TEACHER #2.
Look for me.
