September 28, 1991
24 hours after my meeting with Mitch Clem, I arrived home from the
post office, having mailed out my first big attack on the
entertainment industry. Only an hour and a half of sleep found its
way into those 24 hours. The rest of the time was spent:
Printing and photocopying my resume
Addressing the envelopes
Stapling resumes to headshots
Writing a cover letter
Typing in the 81 names and addresses
Signing all the cover letters
Stuffing cover letters and P/Rs into the envelopes
Writing "PHOTO/DO NOT BEND" on the envelopes
Sealing the envelopes
Buying stamps from machines with no P.O. open
Putting stamps on the envelopes
and finally,
Putting the envelopes into the mail slot. Aaaaahhhhhh...
Now, it's just sit tight and hope for some calls to roll in. I hope someone good for my career picks me up. I hope, I hope.
I hope somebody picks me up, I guess. Or it's back to Med school.
