Day Three -- Thursday, November 4

It is now Thursday morning, so I have had two days of rehearsal. (They have had three.) We shoot the show tomorrow night. So far, my scene has gone very well. It gets a lot of laughs, plus there are a lot of laughs in it. For part of the scene, Joey is cracking jokes and a bunch of us are laughing, and when the gauge of quality is the amount of laughter you hear during the scene, we're secretly boosting our numbers with our performance.

Off-stage, the experience is relatively sterile. Nothing against the people on the show, they seem very nice, but I flew in and out on Tuesday, so I didn't really get to meet anybody, and then yesterday I spent mostly in my dressing room. There was no read-through of the script before rehearsal so I didn't even see the people who aren't in my scenes. In fact, as of this morning, I haven't even met two of the four regulars.

But as jobs go, this is a great one. It's a high-profile show, and a decent role with two scenes and some funny bits.

And here's the kicker: Right now it is scheduled to air on November 18th. Yes, that is the same night as Will & Grace, and since very few people know NBC's Thursday schedule, that would mean the two shows would be on back-to-back from 8 to 9. Could be a Ducey extravaganza.
