Interview report--

Gary had attended the showcase with Jeff "Eric" Wright. Jeff called over to Gary to make sure I could approach him and he had said fine. So cut to me sitting in his office today with my photo/resume and reel in hand.

We spoke of many things: my representation history and status, my jobs, my friends in the business, my demeanor ("dry and mellow"), my connections, my postcards, and then a little of his L.A. history, his agency, his time in the business, and also said hello to Larry, his partner, who was also at the showcase and remembered me as the guy who called Jeff "Eric."

The conversation went something like this:
GARY: Larry, come in here and meet John Ducey, an up and coming star.
LARRY(walking in): Is he going to be a star?
GARY: Yes, actually you saw him in the showcase.
Yahdah. Yahdah. Yahdah. LARRY: Oh, you're the one who called Jeff Eric. You're not going to be a star.

Everything seemed to go quite well. Gary promised to watch the tape tonight and we would talk tomorrow. He said something like, "Well, everything seems good here, if you're interested in us." That seems to indicate an intention to sign, doesn't it? I let him know that the J Michael Bloom thing is still in the works and I need to play that out. And I left with a pretty good feeling.
