Recording Session -- Friday, April 7

It's Heads! It's the animated internet soap opera for the new millennium!

Fellow Harvard graduate and L.A. friend Peter Ocko created this show and called me two nights ago asking if I would come in and be RED, the lead of these e-adventures. The concept is quite simple. It's a story told through talking heads with voice-overs, and sound effects to establish location and activity. Each "episode" is only about two minutes long. The goal would be to have people log on every day to sneak a peak at their animated friends -- to start their morning, on a coffee break, before bed each night -- just a quick fix of their talking Heads.

We did two of the episodes this morning. My character meets a woman on the subway, has stolen a million dollars, gets in a major car accident, lots of juicy stuff for four minutes of dialogue. The cast seemed funny. The writing was strong. I guess it has a chance, but I don't know what is involved with launching an internet show. I'm not sure anyone does. Whom do you have to please? Getting a slot in the primetime TV line-up is hard to do. Getting a website is not. I think I've proven that.

If nothing else, I scored a basket of muffins and got to add a voice-over credit to my resume. God bless the web.
