Day 3 -- Thursday, October 22

Today was very fun. The scenes with the family are so funny. Now, the problem may be that they are only so funny to us. The rest of America may and probably will find it all pretty ridiculous.

We shot the suntan lotion scene first (scene 31), during which Lilli's laugh made everything ridiculously funny. Then the arrival at the family's house (scene 6c), during which Sam's face was hilarious. Then the pie scene (scene 28) in the kitchen, during which the cornball dialogue and everyone's reactions were knock-down funny. And finally we shot the "fight" scene (scene 36), during which Sam appears at the end and sent everyone into a laughing fit. It was great to have the family around and active. Everyone is very nice and cool.

The only downside might be that both yesterday and today were serious workdays, 13 ½ and 12 hours respectively. I wish I had more time to enjoy the fact that I'm in Hawaii. The house is set right on the beach and is gorgeous but that's about the only site I've had a chance to take in. It's a good teaser for a possible return trip. Now that I have ventured into the Pacific, it will be easier to go again.
