Oh, bad.
This was not how they said to do things at audition camp.
I got home from the Unhappily... set last night and found out that I had an audition at 11:15am this morning deep in the Valley. It only gets worse from there. My parents were due in at 12 noon and I had to be on the set today by 1:30 for the taping. In the meantime, I had to keep getting ready for my folks to arrive and to then leave town with my mom early tomorrow morning.
So from the moment I woke up this morning, I was frantic, trying to learn my lines, coordinate people coming to the taping, and get myself together for an audition. Once I got on the road, traffic was immediately bad. When it finally let up, I was driving frantically to get there, frantically going over my lines in the car. I arrived five minutes late and frantically hustled into the building. Within two minutes they were ready for me and I went in and then it was over. That was it. One frantic burst of dialogue for about 25 seconds. Nothing interesting. Nothing clever. Looking back, I don't even remember if I took a breath.
You'd think after 7 1/2 years I would be better at this.
