It the fast-paced world of the Hollywood actor. At 10pm last night, my agent called to tell me I had a 10am audition. The adventure! The excitement! The phone call? Yes, it was my first ever phone audition for a guest spot on an animated show. The role was the manager of a Chuck E. Cheese type restaurant. The guy actually is satanic but acts nice an peppy.
I called in this morning to the casting office and gave them my rendition of it. I did a sort of "Movie-Phone" radio announcer sort of voice and attitude and Linda seemed to like it. One of her comments near the end of the phone call, right about when she said she would call me back (literally), was, "It's not what they wanted but they might like it." Now there's an uphill battle... to be fought at around noon today.
