It's a routine mission into outer space, but something goes horribly awry with their payload. All systems are down. Repair is unlikely, rescue impossible. While it may sound like a quick synopsis of Apollo 13, it is actually the plot of Max Q, the space shuttle version of ouer space drama. I read for the cocky yet vulnerable Scott who thinks he knows everything until he's faced with the challenge of his life.
Lisa was very nice. We talked for a while about the ABC Deal that has just come together and she seemed quite happy for me, believe it or not. We also read through a few scenes, of course, and she was very happy with the output. Her parting words, in fact, were, "Don't loose those sides!" Good sign.
