Angel's Dance is mostly about a young woman (Angel) who is randomly targeted by a couple of hitmen as a "practice hit." She then decides to defend herself by learning about guns and martial arts and stuff. There are two tangential scenes about her dysfunctional and doomed relationship with Boyle. I read one of those today.
Badly.
Perhaps it is the cold I have and semi-laryngitis, or perhaps it's the lull in between booking a pilot and starting work on that pilot, or perhaps it's just that sometimes you suck. Whatever the reasons, the five-line reading was void of anything interesting. I could feel it missing the mark as I did it but it was too short of a scene to rally. I have to make sure I leave the blocks at a full sprint.
