Missed the audition for this on Thursday because of the Encore! schedule but I guess they didn't find what they were looking for because this morning, this Sunday morning, mind you, a handful of actors were making their way into the Valley to read for at least two of the roles in this off beat comedy/drama.
The role is a tricky one, some combination of eager-beaver nerdliness and king-of-the-world suavity. That is actually in my reach on a good day, but today very well may not have been a good day. We read the first scene and she gave me a note (make him more eager) and we did it again. But following the second scene, no note. She moved into resignation, I think, and let me go on my way. No religious experience for her this Palm Sunday morning.
