Audition report--

Word on the street is that the person they had cast as Talbot did not work out or decided to do another pilot or some such thing that left a sudden vacancy in the role. Enter John Ducey. Upon reaching the offices of Spelling Entertainment, however, the situation seemed much less dire. There were quite a few young men reading for Talbot as well as his brother, James. So it all looked a lot more like they were really just now getting around to casting Talbot and James. No rush. No madness. No voids to fill. Just a recurring role that was still up for grabs.

My reading went well, I felt. It was only two lines and then a short monologue. I didn't fall down or drool or anything and there were no jokes to hit so I really didn't have a chance to become "paralyzed" in the office. Eric, the casting director, was there as well as another woman and the cameraman. They seemed to like what I had done a lot. I could go for a recurring role on a show. Seems like a logical next step. Someone let them know I'll take it.
