This may have been the last tangible hurrah for the Frasier appearance. It is just barely fresh enough for people connected to the show to remember it and those people were auditioning me today. It began on the way to the audition when I ran into the 2nd A.D. coming out of Frasier's sound stage. He remembered me and we talked of how funny the episode was and he said how impressive he and his wife thought it was that I could make one little word so funny. That was nice.
Then when I went in to read, two of the producers remarked to the other couple of people in the room that we had a Frasier alum among us and that they thought I had done a great job. Lisa Mionie, the casting director, made it known that she has been getting the Ducey updates by remarking on how busy I have been of late. So lots of good vibes.
The two scenes went well, too. I got some big laughs with a couple of my line readings and when it was all said and done, the one remark that I remember hearing from the group was, "You're very funny." Quite a change from the Carly feedback from this morning. I guess comedy's a bitch.
