Oh Baby! is not quite as racy as the title might suggest. The "Baby" refers to an actual baby, which the lead has decided to have created by artificial insemination and to raise as a single mother in her mid-30s. Oh baby. Her younger brother, Tommy, is an aspiring rock star, but at 30 years old, he's been aspiring a little too long and should be settling down. The show is being produced for the Lifetime network (the channel for women).
So a couple of strikes against me right off the bat. I do not have the long hair of a wanna-be rocker that the script refers to, and with a baby-face like this one, it doesn't really look like I should be abandoning all my dreams at my age. But in I went to wow Cami Patton. I had tried to wow her once before at a Working audition months ago. She was then and still remained un-wowwed.
Nothing really went wrong in the scene. I am not sure I made it as funny as she might have wanted it but I thought it was one of the more intimate scenes in the show, plus the woman had most of the punchlines. Cami thanked me kindly when I was done and said it was good to see me.
