Audition report--

During the meeting I had with Jeff Meshel a week or so ago, he mentioned that I should meet Gilda Stratton. It's nice when promises like that actually turn into something. And quickly too! I was the first to read for the role of Conrad Bloom in the pilot Conrad Bloom so it was up to me to set the standard.

The two scenes were pretty straight forward. I stepped on a line or two maybe but all in all it was a solid showing. The part is a character who is similar to me in personality but is very specifically thirty years old. Trouble.

Even so, Ms. Stratton felt that I had done a good job and she told me to sit tight after my reading. When she returned she said, "I'm going to save you some time and just have the writer come on over now and watch a reading." Hey! Instant callback! That's some damn fine feedback.

Go on to... The Callback.
