I tooled out to the Valley this afternoon for my first audition in almost a month. Oh yeah, that new agent is working out great! I had never met Tory Herald, however, so this seemed like a minor victory for the boys at Contemporary Artists. Upon arrival I discovered the casting assistant was "Scott," a former assistant of Allison Jones whom I had met about a year ago. He was running the pre-reads so he certainly could have had authority to call me in. And he did not have my headshot, which would indicate that Gary & Larry had never submitted one.
Anyway... We decided before my reading that the shoot dates for this role would conflict with Deep Impact, which I am scheduled to start shooting next week. We read the scene regardless and Scott seemed impressed. He told me not to worry about this role and that I would definitely be back at some point during the next 18 episodes to read for something else.
