Audtion report--

I had not heard from the gang at Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer in a long while. They had been responsible for my only two guest-star roles to date. It was the late summer of 1995 when they brought me in for both Perry Mason and Matlock and I booked both jobs. But over the most recent TV season, I had not graced their doorstep even once. I had called them last week to try to get them to go to the showcase I did at the Tiffany Theater coincidentally I had an audition with them today. Hmmmmmm...

I read with Robert Ulrich, whose wife was the female lead in Rumpelstiltskin, and whom I became friends with during that whole adventure. The show is Whoopi Goldberg's comedy, in which she plays a diva superstar and I would be her brand-new assistant. Brand-new to her as well as to Hollywood, so very innocent, green, naive, all things I can do.

We read both scenes and they went well and we talked of me coming back in the afternoon to read for the producers. I was warned, "You may be too old, but if they don't go with a star by this afternoon, I'll bring you back in." Sounds sooooo promising.
