The role has changed but the idea is the same: young, struggling filmmaker living in Jenny McCarthy's guest house. This time I read the lines of Max after hearing that they had decided to "go African-American" with Cooper. Considering that too much of a stretch, I decided to go for Max.
My reading this morning, I thought, was good. I hit a lot of the lines the way I wanted to. I felt the humor was there. The believeability was there. It was all there. (Except for refering to Murray Kravitz as Lenny Kravitz in the first couple of lines.) And yet here I type at 5:30pm and I am quite sure I would have heard by now. Perhaps Murray Kravitz was in the room and he's just pissed. He hates his brother Lenny and I brought back the horrible memories. Sad.
