This was one of those typical audition situations where everything seems to be going just right. Susan and I had a nice little chat before doing the scene, I did stuff during the reading that I had hoped to do, and afterwards, the casting director had only wonderful, nice things to say. "Oh, yeah. That was a great reading. You did a wonderful job. You really got the character." And in this case, something like, "I'll be in touch and we'll go through this whole process together," referring to what I assumed was the casting process. So it was one of the top ten auditions I had ever had out here.
Never heard from her again.
