No, the date is not a mistake. I really had two auditions in one day. I almost had to plan my day. But they were 3 hours apart, so no big deal.
So, Ssslice! The film is a "short about slices of people's lives," so they were just looking for 10 good people, 5 men, 5 women. The audition, consequently, was sort of a hodgepodge improv fest.
I said my name, my phone number, and how I'd like to die, I had an itch I couldn't scratch, I told the meaning of life, I waited in line, I danced so a choreographer would see me from across the street, I explained elephant calls, I was an escapee from an institution, I was a flamer truck-driver, I saw a man get decked by a car, I saw a cute bus driver, I was drunk and my wife was asleep, I was a manic depressant, I did my monkey face, etc, etc.
So, as like I already been says to you, I did a lot of stuff. The woman I was in there with was Lisa, and she was really lame. She had no ideas, no input into the improv stuff. So that was lame because I couldn't feed off her but then it was also good, I guess, in that I shone by comparison. I would have to guess I was not one of the best 5 men to walk through their doors, but what the hey. They'll call in a week to ten days if they want me.
