I actually have been in three more times for this show. Yesterday morning was the work session, in which we went over a few alternate ways of playing some of the beats in the scene. It was a productive session, very helpful, and it helped me relax a little and feel more comfortable with the scenes.
After that was the Studio Test. Again, Jordanna was there and read the two scenes with us. It was a little awkward, unfortunately, with Jordanna a little slow on her cues and getting some of her lines wrong (or so I thought at the time). Still, it was a success.
And then finally, today, the Network Test. Two other Faron hopefuls and I went over to NBC this afternoon and re-created yet one more time the Jordanna/Faron show. It was here that we found out that they had told Jordanna to play around a little with the scenes, not necessarily sticking to the original lines. Of course, no one told any of us that. They re-directed her to stick to the script today and re-positioned her for the meeting scene so we would be looking towards to executives. Both adjustments helped a lot.
The scenes went great, probably the best of the five auditions. I walked out of that room feeling like I had completely and totally nailed it. If Caesar's Palace was giving 3-1 odds that I would get the part, I would have bet ten thousand dollars that it was mine.
Sadly, I found out just a short while ago that I would now be out $10,000 if I had made that bet. In fact, Caesar's would have made a lot of money (despite posting true odds for me) since none of the three of us got the job.
