Audition report--

Busy morning. Squeezing this audition in between a couple of things, I dashed over to the Warner Brothers lot and in my haste, nearly hurried myself right out of a job. I read the first scene and it was fine, but it was lacking anything special. It was a little rushed, basically, like my morning.

Now, this job is for Bruce Helford, the executive producer and past show-runner of Drew Carey and Norm and Nikki and a slew of pilots, many of which I have read for in the past, including Norm, Nikki, and this show, Freddie. Despite numerous times plying my trade for him, I have not been able to break through and get the job. So there I stood, after one mostly unsuccessful pass at the first scene, and it looked like my track record would continue. Luckily the director gave me another shot at it, with a couple tweaks here and there. It was all good from there on out.

So good, in fact, that I got the job. Starts work next week. The 2005 TV season may not have Grown Men in it, but it is starting off with a healthy dose of Ducey.
