Audition report--

This one started off as a disaster. It was the first time I had brought Emma to an audition in a while and since I had an audition earlier in the day, I hadn't invested the usual amount of time preparing for #2. I really could have used the time in the waiting room to become more familiar with the scenes.

As a result, I delivered no more than five words at a time without losing my place or checking in with the sides to reassure myself of my next sentence. The timing of the scene was off, the jokes were non-existant, it was horrible. And I told them so. After I finished the first scene, I said, "I could do that one again since it was so horrible." They did let me do it again. I took their advice, stood up, collected myself and took a much better run at it. The second and third scenes were fine, but the whole thing could have been improved 20% if I had been more on top of the material in that window right before going in. Next time I'll know better.
