Audition report--

This is the much-rumored sitcom version of the Budweiser spots in which superstar athlete "Leon" parodies egotistical superstar athletes who are, arguably, already parodies of themselves. When real-life Philadelphia Eagle wide-receiver Freddie Mitchell speaks at a post-game press conference and says, "I just want to thank my hands for being so great," how do you possibly go further than that?

My role would be the Joe Buck character from some of the better spots. To be honest, I don't think I can do a better job than Joe Buck, but perhaps he's too big for sitcoms already. So I did my shtick with a little Joe Buck disinterest sprinkled on top and it did not seem to blow them away. They had me do the second scene over, telling me to, basically, show more interest.

Sometimes you make the wrong choice.
