Audition report--

I survived the marathon and even went to my third audition a little early. I had put together two auditions so far today that I thought were very respectable, even though the response from each was uncertain, to say the least. The third audition was easy to memorize and the long wait to go in gave me all the extra time I needed. The audition went very well, at least from an acting point of view. But there was apparently not a perfect match with the character.

"Have you read the script?" I was asked.

"Yeah," I lied.

"Did the Martin character speak to you at all?" they continued.

"Yeah, I thought it was very funny. That would be a great role," I responded, saying the same thing I would say even if I had read it. So there.

"Why don't you try Martin?" they suggested.

And so I had to get myself geared up for audition number four on the day. And we're off...
