The opportunities are few and far between in the summer months, but this one seemed like a real possibility. After the last two re-casting auditions ended up badly, with both productions saying they wanted to go more "character" with the role, this one is a little more in my wheelhouse. He's the editor of Esquire, witty, and charming. I can do that, right?
I thought it went well today. The room was very nice, lots of laughs,
and the scene has some fun bits in it. The writer is an old Harvard
friend, Maya, though I probably haven't seen her in about 7 years. It
was a great audition.
