I gave a good reading for this role. It's one scene. It's Peterson. It's on the witness stand discussing the sexual harrassment at the office. I made a choice to make him a little reluctant to bad-mouth this woman. He's saying some pretty mean things but trying not to be mean at the same time.
I found out later that was just the take they were looking for. In this case, that's great news, because I got the job. In most cases, that's a little frustrating, because in most cases, my interpretation is wrong. And that doesn't mean I couldn't do a different interpretation if directed that way. So why should the guy who figured out the scene be the one who is most right for it?
Anyway, who am I to question the system? Today it worked.
