Audition report--

Sometimes my voice and the voice of the character seem to have been created from the same mold. When that is the case, and I have prepared everything just right, the audition is phenomenal. It's fun, it's full of energy and laughs, I get into what I am doing, and everything seems right with the universe. I thought that could be the case today. I took the somewhat generic lines and gave them the trademark Ducey spin. The dry wit, the sarcasm, the unusual inflections. It was Ducey-mania. Turns out, it's not the voice of the character. Not at all. Not even for a second. OK, maybe for one second. I think there was one line that they laughed at. Other than that, el stinko.
