Voice over audition. The upside? Easy money, fun job, no commitment. Getting a "regular" role on this animated pilot would not prevent me from doing another show.
The downside? I never get voice-over jobs. And the usual set of
circumstances happened today. I read the two scenes and the people in
the room thought it was great. The gentleman sitting alongside
Ruth had to stifle a laugh during my last line and then almost choked
on his bagel once I finished and he let his laugh out. If only the
people in the room were casting, I would have gotten many film
and voice-over jobs before this and today's would have been a
shoe-in. But sadly enough, that is just not the case.
