It's good to have friends out there. Despite all of the bad tidings that seem to be befalling me of late, I have had two very nice experiences in the offices of Suzanne Bukinik reading for the Jim Belushi Pilot. Amidst of sea of producers and writers and studio executives staring balnkly at me as I try to be funny, this room of gentle folk has been extremely supportive and generous with their laughter and kind words.
The audition was last week. It went well. Today's callback was technically a "work session," in which the writers, the executive producers, and the casting directors gave a few notes and ideas for the scene so that I will be ready to take it in front of the studio and network executives tomorrow morning.
Yes, it's been a big week. This is the second testing day I have had. The first, as we know, did not go so well. Do I dare try to invoke the "bad dress rehearsal, good opening night" rule for the week? I gotta believe. I just gotta.
Nite.
Go to Studio Test.
